getmac – Get the MAC address of a network adapter

getmac may not be a known tool but is a very easy and effective way to obtain the MAC address of a Windows 2000, Windows 2003 and Windows XP computer. getmac should by default be installed on the above mentioned Windows Operating Systems. If not found for some reason can be downloaded from here. Run getmac from command prompt and will display the Network adapter MAC address and the transport name as follows:

C:\Program Files\Windows Resource Kits\Tools>getmac
